Petrol Taps
There are many copies of original taps available but with two exceptions they are all single level. The exceptions are a flat slide type, that is rather expensive (27-8553) and the standard Ariel twin plunger one. The pattern taps are so good they tend to leak as the originals did, so please bear this in mind. The preferred replacement is what we call a ‘BAP’ tap, which is a modern lever tap that does not look original but is cheap and does not leak (5050-87 reserve, 5050-88 main) but again is only single level. We can supply replacement corks for flat slide (PA-33) or plunger type (PA-34) taps as well as the little screws (PA-31) that hold the plungers in or complete plungers (PA-25 pull only, PA-26 pull and turn)
