Chains

We currently sell high quality chain at a reasonable price, with excellent availability including the cranked links required to make chains with an odd number of links and finally the side plates are not so thick that they contact the chainguards or primary chaincases. Much as we would like to stock Renold chain, availability and price make it impractical, in any case it is no longer made in the UK. Renold’s numbers are used for reference only. A change of sprocket size does not automatically mean a different length of chain as this is dependant of the diameter and not the number of teeth of the sprocket.

We can make chains of other lengths to order and we stock several other sizes, suitable for other machines including lawn mowers and milking machines. All we need to know is the Reynolds chain number or the distance between centres of the pins (pitch) and width between inner plates and the number of links. Count all the links, that is, inners, outers and joining links; we will supply a complete chain. The individual links listed below may fit chains of other makes but as pin diameters and plate thicknesses vary from one manufacturer to another, they may not.
