Renovates fuel tank interiors with a penetrating flexible coating that bonds chemically to the metals surface. (slosh sealer) it is highly recommended that the tank is washed with tank-Kleen pre-paint prep prior to sealing….(see tank – Kleen) for complete kits of slosh and cleaner see tank seal kit. We do not recommend any other pre seal prep other than Rustbuster or tank-Kleen. Clean the tank with tank-Kleen wash out with fresh water and leave to dry (the tank must be bone dry before sealing) pour the slosh sealer into the tank and rotate through 360 degrees and back and forth working well into the seams. Leave to stand for 10-15 minutes then repeat the process until tank is fully coated for a second time. When coated pour the remaining tank seal back into tin. Allow tank to dry for a minimum of 24 hours prior to filling with fuel. Never clean you tank with petrol, diesel, paraffin, engine Degreasers only use the recommended tank-Kleen product ( see discounted tank seal kits) we run regular tests on unleaded pump fuel with our slosh tank seal other than a slight discolouration slosh tank seal is not affected by current pump fuels. We also run long term tests with 100% corn bio-ethanol that are showing no signs of degradation after 2 years saturation.
